BeccaL
This is coming to Peckham Rye this weekend. My daughter is 4 and a half - it says the show is 2.5 hours which I think might be a bit long, unless she's really engaged by it - I wondered if anyone had been in previous years and had any opinions?ThanksBecca Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7876-zippos-circus/ Share on other sites
Gubodge
We went a couple of years ago with a just three year old and just 1 year old. The three year old was completely entranced and still talks about Daddy nearly catching the spaghetti that the clown was throwing. Even the little one was pretty into it. We're going again this year and they can't wait. Your's will love it, just be prepared for plenty of tightrope walking on the back of the sofa afterwards Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7876-zippos-circus/#findComment-245215 Share on other sites
Pickle
We've been twice, first time my son was only about 8 months old and loved it! Second time he was about 19 months, daughter 2 months, and once again they were enthralled. Son noticed the posters the other day and recognised that it was the circus again, so we've booked our tickets and he's very excited (as am I, have my hopes pinned on the fact that the gorgeous man who flies around the big top holding onto bits of fabric doing amazing things with those fantastic arm muscles will be there again.... ;-) )There's a decent break in the middle, so it's manageable for small children. I recommend it, great fun. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7876-zippos-circus/#findComment-245245 Share on other sites
BeccaL
Thanks - didn't realise there was a break - that makes all the difference. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7876-zippos-circus/#findComment-245251 Share on other sites

Mrs TP
BeccaL - it has to be done and be sure to buy your little one one of the light-up toys they sell as you go in so she can wave it around when they switch the lights off at the beginning. My bigger girls are 8 & 5 and we have been the last two years running - they were ecstatic when they saw this year's posters. Have just booked using the code Mellors recommended - fab thanks.Norman (the Ringmaster) and his budgies can be a bit dull but there are usually some excellent acrobatics and fun slapstick. Enjoy. BeccaL
Thanks everyone - we went yesterday and it was great. All loved it, though the high wire made me very nervy! Gubodge
Recomend it to everyone. The 5 yr old thought the clowns were hysterical and has a new ambition to be a trapeeze artist. The three year old was in awe of the tightrope walkers, and spent the act muttering 'I couldn't do that' under her breath.
