Dulwich U3A Monthly Open Meeting

Carnigie Library

"Black Settlement in Britain in 1950?s & 60?s.and its cultural impact."

Nia Reynolds will be readings selections from her book "when I came to England "

A compelling anthology featuring personal stories and experiences shared by people who came from the West Indies to Britain during the post-war years. Many had a "five year plan" to work hard, prosper and then return "home". The personal testimonies are frank, funny, tragic, thought-provoking and inspiring - a fascinating record of "living memories" by the "Windrush Generation." A classic trip down memory lane.

NOTE: Starts at 2:15 ends 4:15 to allow free parking
