Midwife-led group antenatal course for winter babies 2016

Recommended Posts

Dear mums-to-be,

Are you expecting your baby between February and mid-March 2016?

Are you looking for antenatal classes run by an experienced and practicing midwife? A course to prepare you for labour, birth and early days with your baby and where you can meet other local parents expecting around your dates?

I am a practicing midwife with many years of experience and I run midwife-led antenatal group courses; these are informative but informal, research and experience-based, fun and dynamic, a space where you can have your questions answered from a non-judgmental point of view and meet a lovely group of other local expectant parents. The course content is as follows:

Saturday January 9th 2016: process of labour, how labour unfolds and non-medical pain relief options

Saturday January 16th 2016: medical pain relief options and when birth does not go to plan

Saturday January 23rd 2016: recovering from birth and early days with baby, what to expect

Saturday Janaury 30th 2016: changing nappies, bathing, soothing a crying baby and feeding your newborn

Classes run over 4 consecutive Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. The venue is the private room at the Lordship pub, at 211 Lordship Lane.

Getting to know the other couples in the group is very important, hence, during the course I organise two social events with the whole group, one for partners only, another one when the course is over and a final reunion with parents and babies. After that group keep on meting on a regular basis!

The whole course, material and phone/email support throughout these weeks cost 240?, to pay upfront or in small installments, as it is more convenient for you.

If you were interested contact me for an informal chat at 07598293625, PM me or send me an email at [email protected]

    • Hello, I found some keys on Monday morning on Melbourne Grove. The keyring was not Donald Duck though. Could it be another keyring?
    • As a note of recommendation, I did this course in Rye Oak Centre, Peckham and gained so much from it. Was such a lovely, supportive group.
    • Wish they get rid of the tree in Barry Rd adjacent to the Plough, The roots are all over the place, Council re tarmacked them some time ago but makes the pavement uneven. You cannot get a mobility scooter over them as tarmac slopes. Witness a lady with wheelchair trying to get over , in the end her carer had to help over with 2 crutches then push the empty chair over. Also young children using scooters/bikes have fallen off at this point. Hubby spoke to tarmac workers when the work was done and they felt the area was very dangerous to pedestrians and the council should have authorised the removal of both tree and roots. Some prams cannot get over as well. Prior to Christmas, mother/carer with 2 children in double buggy had to walk in road with on coming traffic. We do need trees   I have 2 in my garden - one is well over 50 years old and we have it pollard every few years to prevent it damaging neighbours property.
    • Just that really - lookiing for a box to fit size 45 x 45 x 55 cm. Many thanks
