Chrome problems

Chrome browser keeps crashing. I've done virus/malware scan, checked extensions, and tried to uninstall, but keep getting the message 'close all windows and try again', though no chrome windows open (visible). Any advice?

Have you tried typing "chrome://crashes" in the URL box? You should get some info on what is causing it.

Also, you might have a Chrome task still running (which would cause the message). Reboot should get rid of it.

Or chrome://conflicts to see if there's conflicts happening. Installed anything recently?

Oh, just a small tip; sign into your Google account in Chrome before uninstalling it - that way you won't lose your bookmarks and history.
