Vegetarian food - best restaurants?

I don't know if you are looking for anywhere local as you haven't mentioned it but I love the restaurant Ethos. It is a very beautiful restaurant first of all and secondly it has a wide range of absolutely amazing all-vegetarian food. It's not on LL but it's just off Oxford Street on Eastcastle Street. But for the drive or train ride, it's def worth the journey! Hope she has a lovely 65th regardless of where you choose to go! X

If you don't necessarily want local (which is why I recommended Blue Brick) I recently had the most amazing meal at Moro in Exmouth Market. (You could even combine with a trip to Sadlers!) A friend and I shared their vegetable platter which was absolutely scrumptious. (the words vegetable platter do not do it any justice whatsoever!!)

You may or may not be looking for something upmarket but if you are then Vanilla Black is generally regarded as London's best vegetarian fine dining and is Michelin recommended.

The Grain Store by chef Bruno Loubet is also an interesting option for both veggies and meat eaters. This french chef has opened a restaurant where the food (unlike traditional french food) has a strong emphasis on vegetables. You will see from the menus that meat/ fish is included in a small number of the dishes but the vegetables take priority.

Manna in Primrose Hill/ NW3 also has a good reputation

Sorry East Dulwich for making recommendations that are not local but ED has yet to offer up a veggie restaurant as far as I'm aware

    • No it wasn't. I was thinking about the proliferation of money-laundering operations masquerading as barbers. Investigations have revealed that these M-L operations are reporting revenues of £1000,000 per month every month.  And that is all supposedly paid in cash. So they can afford to give cut-price barbering to draw in a few punters.  No genuine barber can compete that cross-subsidisation. One  exception however is Porters Barber&Barista in Dulwich Village. Very pricey, but one has the confidence that they are barbers. Porters Barbers
    • so because this is a 'light-hearted thread'  its totally OK to be full of generalisations and assumptions?
