*Anna*
We are getting married on New Years Eve and are trying to work out transport options and wondered if any of you had clever ideas! We need a car to get 4 people from Dulwich to a Central London venue approx 4pm departure. We then need to get 3 grandparents back to Sydenham at approx 11pm.Then parents back to Dulwich at 1am.They are worried that taxis will be a nightmare to hail and very expensive if not booked in advance.Anyone out there got any clever ideas at all? Not after anything fancy!Or have any good ideas as to where else I could ask? Many thanks. Giacomelli
I would just book taxis in advance... Some years Addison Lee keep their prices the same as usual over the holiday period to beat off the competition. I used them 2 years ago on boxing day and new years eve to ferry myself and family members around.Have a lovely wedding! ludoscotts
Hi mason and green are very helpful and really nice cars. Just going to say though that depending on where the venue is in central London they may have to take a large detour to come back for 11pm as they close all the bridges near central London at 8.15 pm for the fireworks on nye. Been caught out by this ourselves and paid a fortune in a black cab as they had to go round all of the closures to better to have a pre booked and quoted price taxi. *Anna*
Oo good to know! I had assumed that as the fireworks are now only around Westminster the other bridges wouldn't really be affected but i'll definitley check it out now. pigglemarex
Addison Lee kept their prices the same this Chrimbo - was great, esp on the way home after a big Christmas Dinner. It meant we could just sleep off our food babies.
