Round 5 fixtures

Saturday

Scotland v Italy 14.15

Ireland v England 16.45

France v Wales 20.00

The remaining Round 3 fixture is due to be played on Friday 26th. It is available on Superbru to make a prediction.

Friday 26th

France v Scotland 20.00

Maxxi, may I remind you of Rule 14 (Section 2 - ''Predicting Your Results'') of the EDF 6 Nations Predictor Game Rulebook, that stipulates...

''Should a match be abandoned and replayed only to then become the decider of the EDF 6 Nations Predictor Game League, then the current leader of the EDF 6 Nations Predictor Game League is hereby required to completely lose the plot when making their final prediction.''

May I also remind Maxxi that Clause 3c of the aforementioned rule also stipulates that...

i) Notwithstanding Clauses 3a & 3b, the current leader of the EDF 6 Nations Predictor Game League is hereby required to consume copious amounts of Friday afternoon beers in order to facilitate a state of inebriation by teatime, thereby rendering themselves incapacitated and unable to think logically.

ii) Failure to do so will result in the offender having to appear in front of the EDF Games Investigation into Membership Panel, which is automatically triggered when more than 50% of Members declare ''Bring out the Gimp''...

I should like to draw to the attention of the Ruddy Beelzebub(SCG*) that Rule 14 only comes into effect if said 'current leader' is not the kind of lazy ars*d twonk who made all his predictions long ago (having as much idea of who would actually prevail in any given match as David Moyes does of how to win at Old Trafford).

Similarly, Rule 14 is nullified if. being very much not-ars*d about constantly returning to the scene for updates and such, the current leader locked-in said pick wa-a-a-ay back when leaving no possibility of it being altered.

It does, of course, go without saying that having picked with heart not head in the last round to give others a chance to catch up and actually getting two results wrong, the 'CL' has fulfilled his obligations re lending a hand to the less gifted.

It is also understood that clause 3c will be followed to the letter regardless of its lack of effect on the results and the fact that it will be accompanied by much chanting of "Champion! Champion!..." etc.

Both of you should be concerned regarding the current (behind closed doors)investigation, as to why the Cowboy failed to make the easiest prediction of the week-end? Two points lost,at least. Was he hacked? Bribed? Threatened? And by whom?

I think he fell victim to a premature adoption of Clause 3c.

I thought it was only possible to peek after you've locked your own predictions and therefore can't tactically change your prediction. Although I guess someone's mate could take a peek and relay the info back to them, doubt that would happen on the EDF unless Uncleglen joined in...#ABU :)

Ryder Cup Superbru.

I created a pool for this and will send invites to you, in the event you might be interested. It's not a solely EDF pool as I created it to play with a couple of brothers of mine. But as one wants to invite some of his golfing friends, I'll extend it too.

Anyone not previously involved in a EDF Superbru prediction game, let me know here and I'll post how to join the pool, if you'd like to play. Not a lot involved. Points for choosing who is going to win matches type of thing.

BTW the Pool name this time is 'The Flog Game'.

    • Yes, they thanked me for pointing out the errors of their ways and agreed never to do it again.  Or maybe not.  There was also two scenes when I asked drivers to turn their engines off when sitting idling by Peckham Rye.  I wont recount the tale but they did not appreciate my request.  I've long since given up.  My experience was similar to Nigel Havers, "go forth and multiply". https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p04qrnh6 I also used to fantasise about putting a potato in the exhaust.  Gone are the days when you could kill the occupants through carbon monoxide poisoning as the levels are relatively low.  Not oxides of nitrogen though.
    • Hi everyone, We’re currently looking to upgrade our front door and are leaning towards something with a Victorian style to suit our home in South East London. While doing some research, I came across Victorian Front Door Company (https://www.victorianfrontdoor.co.uk), and their doors look absolutely stunning. Has anyone here used their services before? If so, I’d love to hear about your experience! How was the process, and are you happy with the final result? Looking forward to any insights or other recommendations for suppliers in the area. Thanks in advance! 😊
    • I saw couple of people in hi-vis jackets, hard hats putting a ladder up against the sign on my way out early evening 9th October. On my way back I looked at the sign and (it took me a few seconds!) spotted the change.
