Elenimh
I'm part of a recently-established casual beginner's ladies' football group who meet on Saturday morning on Peckham Rye common. A lot of us live locally and have started meeting mid-week as well for an evening kick about on the common, but as the days are getting darker we probably can't keep that up for long.Does anyone have any recommendations of cheap/free venues where we can run around and kick a ball for an hour or so on a mid-week evening in the area? Laddy Muck
My friend pixysunflower just alerted me to this thread. DHFC astro costs ?35 an hour, which is cheaper than most other astros for hire. PS: @ what time do you play on a Sat. (and now I'm intrigued as to whether I know any of you). :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/74222-football-pitch-for-evening-kick-about-in-se15se22/#findComment-899266 Share on other sites

DJKillaQueen
Hi Elenihm,There's something else that you might like to check out called the London Ladies Friendly League. It consists of around 8 local women's teams of all ages abilities who play 11-a-side league games through the season every two weeks or so. Every team also has a mid week training session, at a local astroturf and you might find that teaming up with one of them (to cut costs) works out for you. A couple of the teams also have five-a-side league teams. It's a league for all ages and abilities, VERY informal and VERY friendly, and the teams are always looking for players for anyone who wants to play. The league itself is run by Pete Deller and there is a facebook group at; https://www.facebook.com/groups/217403848349897/?fref=tsYou can find out about the teams there, or just put a shout out in a post and someone will get back to you.
