Energetic nanny looking to be part of your family

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am a 34 year old nanny with over 6 years of childcare experience working as a sole charge nanny in Romania, Netherlands and in the UK (and I have checkable references). I also have an up-to-date DBS check and Paediatric first aid certificate. I am in the process of being OFTSED registered.

I am looking for a live-out sole charge full time or minimum 3 full days nanny position (and could be flexible with days). I am currently working as an emergency nanny therefore I am able to start immediately.

I am reliable, trustworthy, caring and energetic. I love working with children; I will get down on the floor and play/read/dance with them and find an activity that will rock their boat...I will organise age specific indoor or outdoor activities, but will always follow the family's and child's preferences and needs. I cook healthy meals. I am conscientious in my relationships with parents. I build a good rapport with them and keep them up to date with what their child has been doing that day .

I have a clean driving license (I don't own a car). I speak English, Dutch, French and Spanish.

I would like to part of a family and see the children whom I look after develop and learn but ultimately enjoy their time with me.

If you are interested, please do get in touch. I can send you my CV and references or answer any questions you may have.

Thank you all and have a lovelly day,

Ella

HI Ella,

Our lovely nanny is leaving London to find a bigger home. We all think she is wonderful and will miss her but we will need someone to replace her.

We have two gorgeous children who go to Dulwich Hamlet Junior School and I'm looking for someone to pick them up at 3.20, bring them home, cook them a lovely meal and look after them until 7 pm.

Our current nanny does all their washing and prepares their school and sports clothes for the next day. She also helps with the homework so we could be looking for the same from our next nanny.

Are you still looking and what is your day rate? If you are, I can give you more detail in the next message.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you.

Dear families

I have just come across this post and could not pass it without replying - I really could not recommend Ella highly enough as a nanny! Our roads crossed when she was our emergency nanny for a week, arranged through my work. She brought this amazing energy and care to our house that our daughters clicked with her immediately, there were not any tears (ever!)when we left them with her and she became a part of the family quickly. She is the only nanny we go to (and we have worked with long term nannies before) when we need ad hoc childcare. Unfortunately we could not offer a nanny position to her as our daughters are full time in school and nursery now; otherwise we would not miss the opportunity work with her. She is genuinely kind and caring with children, strives to make them happy and fulfilled, arranges days to fit around their needs and likes and she hasn't yet asked how TV works in our house because she prefers to sit down with the girls on the floor and teach them a song they would like and put on a play for mummy even after a long day and tea needs to be cooked! (I mention this as our previous nanny got very grumpy when TV was not working!)...In short, I think she is amazing. I am very happy to chat further with families who are interested in interviewing her, please do PM me if you would like to.

Dear Ella

Does this job description sound interesting to you?

Hi, I'm Cristina, I'm from Spain and I'm 23 years old. I'm actually looking for a job as nanny.

I'm already living in London since one week.

A year ago I finished the Degree of Pre-school Teaching and I?m currently studying for the public examinations in Spain, to work as a pre-school teacher or and English teacher. Also I have a certificate in English (First Certificate of Cambridge) and I?m actually studying to get the Advanced Certificate in English.

I was a year between Bradford (England) and Edinburgh (Scotland), studying and performing my placement with young children in different nursery schools.

I have also studied music; I studied piano for five years.

As for my personality, I consider myself a very responsible, orderly, active, outgoing, caring and dynamic person. I like quiet environments, interact with people, enjoy cooking, healthy food, sports, cinema, nature and music. I am not a smoker.

Looking forward to hear from you!

    • If you don't innately know from a human perspective  why it's not tasteful to ask 'what's the latest on the court case??' then I can't really explain it I guess. I suspect the family are finding the concept of the circumstances being hashed out in court and the papers quite distressing so although I'm sure they are touched by the support and outpouring of affection for Akif I don't think they want the private details to be a 'matter of local interest.' If people are desperate to keep up to date with the court case they can google it. It doesn't need to be discussed on a local forum. Just a bit of basic decorum and sensitivity really.
