Hi everyone,

I've been using Spotify for some time now & just thought I'd like to share it with anyone who has never used it. Here's the science part, concentrate..

"Financed by advertising, the free version of Spotify is the place where most people start. Simple to download and install, in no time at all you?ll enjoy having all the music in the world at your fingertips, instant access to whatever song you want with no restrictions, and the ability to create and share playlists with friends."

So, have you got any programs that you cant live without / recommend to everyone??

At the moment it's AVG Free Ant-Virus - as someone (gullible and under age) in our house has been duped into clicking into the horrible Evony game. I have researched it a little but having read that its potentially a malware carrier and I have had to muster all the free software I already had on the machine and hope it finds anything nasty. Luckily borrowing an old Mac from neighbour and cranked it up to ask forumites if anyone knows anything more about Evony. Better get it back before she cold turkeys away from asos!

Expand, but beware do you know "Surimi ko...dooo daa" or whatever his name was?

Please be ........erm.......y'know!

Sue

Maybe you would like to live next door to them instead? Maybe we can swop home's ?

Why do you think because I am old I am stupid ? You will be old one day , do you think you will become a idiot because you are over 70 ? NO ! Then we assume I am a idiot ? I have lived a long life and have forgotton more than you know.

I have a copy of Pakman [sic] that I still run from time to time.

Many years ago I copied it from a mid-1980s IBM PC (an advanced model with a colour monitor and a 10MB HD).

The game is one COM file that is just short of 64K.

This game must have some of the tightest machine code ever written. Each time I run it I am filled with admiration of the programmer's skills.

    • There wasn’t a lot to it.  Pick a pub that’s likely to have space on the evening - ask the pub can we reserve the tables. Post date and time in here  it did grow to some quite big evenings.  But those early meet-ups were only 5 or 6 people. It grew from there  if it’s a date I can be in London I might try and get along
    • It's a tough one but I do think if the council provide the bins we should use them. We all should be doing our bit.
    • Great! I can't say there has been a vast number of interested people so far. Maybe it's a case of "if we build it they will come", as it were. We will get on the case and try to find a suitable pub  venue, and then a date. But I have a feeling the pub will want to be sure there will be a reasonable number of people there buying drinks, if we are booking a room, and at present I don't think we can give them that guarantee. Does anybody know how the people who organised it (I think Georgia was one?) did it before? Please PM me if you would rather not post it on here, thanks.
    • Thank you, I’ll take a look
