Sol
Hi; my child is starting reception but it won't be full time until the last week of September; I am really struggling to find childcare for the first 3 weeks and we don't have any annual leave left. Can you request to the school your child to start properly from the first week?.This slow start is very good for the children but not so good for working parents. Monkey
Hi sol, this staggered start really is a pain. Speak to the school first thing on Tuesday morning. If you don't get anywhere with switchboard, email the head and explain you find yourself in an impossible situation. Good luck. Sol
Thank you. I will speak to the school; don't think my company will be very happy with parental leave as I took already lots of days during the summer holiday. I understand the reasons for the staggered start of reception but it is far too many days until they start properly.
