There is a Worthy Charity shop called ALDLife shops 45 Peckham High Street, 81-83 Dartmouth Road Forest Hill,I know that they do take Video tapes .They promote awareness research and prevention of adrenoleukodystrophy

I did some research... videos have some nasty chemical on them, so they shouldn' go into landfill. There was only one company in the whole of Europe recycling them... and it no longer takes residential stuff, only from companies... I spoke to them though and they said that Southwark probably has a Waste-to-Energy system, where waste is burnt and turned into electricity, so this is probably the best option. PLUS if you take stuff to charity shops that they can't sell they have to pay (as a business) to have their refuse taken away, so rather than donating to them, you are costing them money.

I always get rid of them on Freecycle,or various Freegle groups...

Latest update... nobody wanted any videos so took them to the tip, turns out they only put them into landfilll... so now I am going to recycle the boxes and the paper inserts and then see if the tip in Deptford is one of the Waste-to-Energy recycling tips...
