3 professionals, 2 female and 1 male, are looking for a new housemate to live with them in a shared house just off Peckham Rye Park. The room is available from Saturday 3rd / Sunday 4th October.

Details of the room:

It?s a good-sized, fully furnished room on the first floor, with wifi and views over the back garden.

Details of the house:

The house is a homely four bedroom Victorian terrace, on a quiet road in East Dulwich (zone 2). We have two bathrooms; one with a WC, large (jacuzzi!) bath and separate shower, and the second with a toilet and shower, so there is never an issue with waiting. We spend a lot of time cooking and socialising in the combined kitchen and dining room, there is also a living room with a decent TV, and a garden, which is handy for BBQs and bicycle storage. The neighbors are quiet and friendly. We have a cleaner that comes once every two weeks to clean the communal areas.

Details of the housemates:

They are three friendly professionals aged between 29-39; two teachers and one architect. Everyone has their own busy social life, but they do also like to relax at home and walk, swim, cycle, eat, drink, dance and listen to music together.

Travel:

I have enjoyed exploring the local area, especially Lordship Lane (10 minute walk), which is full of delicious places to eat, some excellent pubs, a new Picture House cinema and bus stops galore (37, 40, 176, 185, 484). We are also less than five minutes walk from the 24 hour 63 Bus route, which in turn will take you to Peckham Rye in 7 minutes. From there you can get the Overground/Trains to all major stations such as Clapham Junction, London Bridge, Victoria, Highbury and Islington etc.

Price: ?550 a month, plus bills of approx. ?80 a month.

Our landlord will require a deposit of ?761.54. The deposit will need to be paid to the housemate who is leaving (me). We?ll arrange for your name to be added to the contract lease on arrival.

I have spent 3 very happy years at Balchier Road, however I have decided to move in with my boyfriend. Ideally, we are looking for an easy going person, who is used to the normal considerations for a shared house. If you have any questions or are at all interested, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact me, telling us a bit about yourself, when you are available to move, and when you can come and see the house

    • The private sector is not going to build a significant amount of social housing. Everyone is very keen for *everyone else* to subsidise construction of social housing. I take it none of the objectors to this scheme was suggesting putting up council tax so Southwark could build more social housing...? Social housing isn't going to appear in serious numbers if the state doesn't borrow money and build it.
    • They must be really desperate to collab with Tesla. Honestly, it's not even the worst thing they've done. I've noticed these sex events happening in the last few months at a place that's supposed to be a restaurant and venue. I was planning my wedding there and was appalled by the setup for those events. When I discovered what was going on, I was disgusted by how they were using the same rooms as 'playrooms' where families are supposed to eat. The hygiene and safety concerns are just unacceptable. We really need to come together as a community to put a stop to this! They're destroying a sacred, Grade II listed building, and it's just not right. The owners need to be held accountable for their actions. It's time for us to stand up and protect our heritage and ensure that these spaces are used appropriately, especially when they should be serving families and the community.   sex events vid.mp4 sex events videe.mp4 Literally promoting it on their Instagram! Only just taken down after scrutiny.
    • yes, which properly explains why they responded to me on this occassion, as i included the CQC in my response. I have spoken to the Health Ombudsman, and they feel the regulator is more suited to the issues I have raise for more than a year now. welcome aboard. its great to have you on the thread. so sorry you are also experiencing issues. has this been addressed as yet?
    • Tbh most Tesla owners are people who are concerned about the environment and have purchased accordingly- but mr nut job has soured their purchasing- so I actually sympathise with them being associated with such an awful man. But to actively promote the company given the knowledge we now know about him makes utterly unacceptable.
