Repetitive mechanical noise Underhill/ Hillcourt Road

We are being kept awake on a morning by an unusual noise outside around Hillcourt Road, Underhill Road, Goodrich Road or maybe even Overhill.

It's a frequent tapping noise, as if a large drop of water is falling on corrugated iron from a long distance. We thought it might be a noisy dripping garden tap, but then occasionally it will stop for 5 minutes. Plus, it's too far away as there's a slight echo.

The noise seems to start around 5:30am and disappear after 7am.

Anyone else getting this?

That would be interesting but it's not like a woodpecker noise..the beats aren't as frequent.

It's more of an intense dripping tap with a huge echo, or as if someone is hitting metal over and over again.

No idea.
