Well done and I'll see you tonight. All the best for next year. Catalyst
Went in over the Christmas. Place stank of fried food so walked straight out again. Typical loud, soulless gastropub from what I could see. Will try it again but really didn't see what the fuss is all about. moondancer
I came on my birthday, betwixt Christmas and New Year with my daughters and granddaughter, who picked up the vibe and was exuberant, happy and ate everything, I had venison and chocolate sauce. Rich for lunchtime but sublime. The music we remarked on, Tim Buckley fhs,and others remarkable, a really esoteric mix, compliments to the compiler (from Spotify apparently) chef, bar, fire maker, everything, and we are tres fussy.and Herbert for being attentive and well mannered and polite, thank you all, Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/71354-the-new-cherry-tree-on-grove-vale/page/6/#findComment-946827 Share on other sites

TigerTraveller
Maybe Catalyst walked into Maxim across the road and got confused? I know I've done that after too many pints.... DovertheRoad
I've been a few times now at different times of day and week. As a dad I've been one lunchtime (two babies) and for a quiet pint (no kids...agree eves = adult time) and its been all really good. Friendly, helpful staff, decent food, well priced menu and a great fit out that makes it much warmer than the previous incarnation. For what they had to work with and given the previous rep they've done a fantastic job with it. The two sections work well...last night there was football in one area and we ate on the kitchen side. Different needs catered for with that layout. Thanks for the hospitality guys.
