That's brilliant. Would totally freak me out though.

In Hurghada (Red Sea) every building had a top floor

that was in the middle of construction.

Might have been a tax loophole ?

Used to be like that in Greece, don't know whether it still is.

But I don't think they left out the stairs!!!!

I can't compete with the above but I have stayed in some filthy pits: a hostel in Athens for example, where three debauched late arrivals - a coked up Englishman and two Albanians wanted to have a violent orgy with my (male) travelling companion and myself.

And in Corfu in a humid, stinking, windowless room in a shack on the beach which when I clocked all the blood on the walls I realised was a mosquito nest

That's just reminded me of a hotel in Penang where my then partner was confined to bed with a fever so if we wanted to eat together we had to eat via room service.

When one meal arrived there was a large cockroach clinging to the underside of the tray.

Then there was a place in Alice Springs where we were lying in bed and cicadas were dropping onto the pillows from the air conditioning.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH :(

Sat in The Elm Tree right now. Can't say as a solo drinker I feel imbedded yet! Tis ok. A mix of Scaffolders and lads with smart shirts, buttoned up for the night. Doormen unsure as to my identity and what treasures my rucksack holds. ?4 for a pint of reasonable Guiness.

Why do you not ask for a key, if you would "love this task"?  I have requested a key but have not had any reply to my email. Who would you suggest I ask? She still works locally. If you don't know her, I can ask her how you can get a key - Please do. Thanks. There is no reason why the noticeboard should only contain councillors' details (although surely it is important that those are publicised locally?) Why do you say it will contain nothing more? Because it does not contain anything more - see noticeboard (has been there quite a few months now!). Do you know why the notice board has been removed from outside ED station? No sadly I don't - poss during pavement works?
