....ah sure Jaysus the weekdays with their differences, the weekends allowing Liquorice to flourish. The variation between them is...well, words fail me, just amazing. Really.

And would it not be a very poor look out if it didn't cross someone's mind?

As a long term Liquorish observer I think its back on track. I was in ther the other night and it was jumping, people dancing in the back - good tunes chatting in the front. Mainly a 20-30 something crowd. A new food menu. Still some good cocktails and staff much better than when this thread started. Its now part of the lane establishment. I like!

I heard from a local resident that Liqourice is now providing very loud, live music to all local residents on Sunday evenings with windows wide open......is this in violation of agreed terms under their licence? Did anyone else find this a bit inconsiderate?

I have always liked Liqourish. Myself and a few friends did get refused entry by the female bouncer once when my friend had a very minor trip on the little step to get in - vowed never to go back but true to my word was back a week or two later.

Was in there on Friday night - was busy enough - I usually try to fit it in at the end of the night.

I try not to look the female bouncer in the eye just in case she remembers not letting me in once. But I agree they are nice - the same 2 bouncers have been in place for maybe 4/5 years.

    • Your post is a little confusing, what were the father and child doing?  For balance I cycled along Brenchley Gardens a couple of Sundays ago in the evening, there was a long line of cars coming towards Forest Hill Road, one car decides to overtake the whole line driving perhaps 60mph or more.  This cyclist had to get out of the speeding car's way. On Friday I was walking on the same road. There were two electric bikes, looking like small trails motorbikes.  No lights, no helmets, no registration plates, no doubt no insurance.  Traveling well above the 20mph speed limit, weaving in and out of the cars, then came back the other way doing the same, and then returned for a further go. Perhaps re-title the thread as inconsiderate road users, rather than yet another thread complaining about cyclists.
    • I came across a father with a very young child coming up limesford road, which is currently a one way road due to the Nunhead cemetery wall reconstruction.  The lights were green for me, so I continued to go down Limesfoed, the guy shouted at me, like I was in the wrong.  Are cyclist allowed to take the roads, by jumping lights, despite being given government safety? I see this everyday.
