ang
Hello just wondered if anyone can help me out with the cost of painting the exterior of a 4 bed Victorian terrace. It's wooden sash windows and cills and front door that need painting rather than the walls. I Appreciate each place varies in condition but just trying to get a feel for a reasonable amount. Thanks so much Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/70230-average-cost-for-painting-exterior-of-victorian-terrace/ Share on other sites
Saffron
Will PM you. In the meantime, some things to consider are the condition of the wood and how much work it will take to strip it and refinish, whether any wood will require replacing.Scaffolding is generally quite expensive, and cost will depend on how much and how long you need it for.If you're having more than one decorator, it will increase your labour costs, but reduce the time. If you own the property, will any costs be covered as rolling repairs under your home owners policy?Materials cost will vary highly depending on what you choose. Many decorators will not charge for a quote, but will require some upfront costs to be paid. Always ask for an itemised quote, so you can see how labour and materials are allocated. xx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/70230-average-cost-for-painting-exterior-of-victorian-terrace/#findComment-886687 Share on other sites
Nunheadfamily
Atoz builders did ours for a reasonable price when our original builders had left the side wall unpainted. Worth giving them a buzz.
