Jut as an fyi/recommendation:

Had my bike (pedal bike, but not cheap) stolen from my bike shed in my front garden on Amott Road last month, they cropped off two padlocks. I have replaced the bike and was looking into the best security to stop it happening again, these guys seem to have the best kit and reputation:

If you get a 16mm and upwards chain it is uncroppable with any portable bolt croppers, meaning they'd need to grind it off (noise) or smack it with a big hammer, which is impossible unless it's trailing on the ground. Their kit has some sort of insurance-approved rating for motorbikes if you get their anchor too.

I got the 13mm chain which is 'virtually' uncroppable, and probably sufficient for a pedal bike, excellent quality stuff anyhow, and the ground anchor and padlock in the kit are pretty serious too.
