TRB
I am sure this has been addressed on EDF before but just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a hairdresser that can deal with a child that quite possibly really won't want to have a haircut. So, someone with a quick hand and ability to distract would be ideal. Thank you. ladywotlunches
Try Rose at Headnizm. Quick and easy - my 3 yo goes silent as soon as he sits in the chair (a very rare event!). Its only a fiver for under 5s too. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7015-haircuts-for-kids/#findComment-224345 Share on other sites
TRB
Thank you both for your suggestions. Am sure one of them will be able to coax him into having it cut. Aisling
I take my daughter to gm's on melbourne grove. She loves it as they give all kids a muffin and some juice. There very friendly and there is often a lot of kids there (after school). She looks forward to having her hair cut as she knows she'll get a treat! charlottep
I second GM's. My son has a crazy head of hair and needs a haircut pretty much every 3 months. Millie, does a lovely job and has lots of patience. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7015-haircuts-for-kids/#findComment-225175 Share on other sites
TRB
Thank you for those recommendations. GM's sounds good. I looked at their website and I may even give them a try with my unruly mop. Wonder if they do family discounts? TRM Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7015-haircuts-for-kids/#findComment-225884 Share on other sites
alib
I took an overseas friend and her five year old boy to the barber inside Rye Lane indoor market yesterday for a walk-in and feel like I really lucked out with my choice. Incredibly nice guy (young owner) who gave our boy a great cut (best ever said mum), plenty of chatter and a lollipop for six pounds. Charlie loved the whole barber shop experience. Highly recommend for boys. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/7015-haircuts-for-kids/#findComment-230424 Share on other sites

madmum
if you fancy a trip to london then i can reccomend Tantrum on the kings road...its v cool kids get to sit in planes, cars, trucks whilst really friendly ladies take time to cut thier little locks, also another distraction is a selection of dvds they can watch whilst its being done, all polished of with sweets!!! my son loved it he felt all grown up plus i took my 10 year old cousin who played on the wii whilst he waited. it cost ?20 bit much but was a v good haircut and i did not have to say stay still stay still once!!!!!PRICELESS!!! scotlass
Madmum, I'm sure i saw Tantrum on dragons den the other night. They brought along the racing car seat and were trying to get them to invest in their idea. Think they cut hair in Hamleys too. Looks very cool but a bit too pricey!
