Forest Hill Road to Tower Bridge

Any tips on how to get from the Rye side of town, into Tower Bridge/Tower Hill, and a realistic timing if I need to get there for 9am tomorrow?

Checked out the TFL pages, and it gave be the same journey (starting at HOP and getting train to L Bridge then RV1 bus) twice - one took a hour longer!!!

78 from Peckham Rye to Tower Bridge. About 45 mins if the traffic's good.

Train to London Bridge walk if you see the bus en route jump on traffic around london bridge is horrific at the moment

Agreed, it's not a long walk from london bridge. I'd always choose the train over the bus, at least you know when it's going to arrive and how long it's going to take.

78 if you leave earlier (730ish) would only tkae about 30 mins. Jump off right at Tower Hill, grab a coffee and relax for 30 mins. Simples.

AVOID AT ALL COST ANY BUS ROUTE VIA LONDON BRIDGE AT THE MOMENT.

I do this journey everyday, get the 8:15 to London Bridge, this will get you there for 8:30 and 30 mins is ample time to wander over either London Bridge and hang a right or over Tower Bridge.

The 343 bus goes from Peckham Rye to City Hall (south side of Tower Brige). See map in link below.
