I'm guessing you would normally get the train to Denmark Hill. You could try the 63 bus... not my favoured option. Or get the 17 bus from Ludgate Circus to London Bridge (or walk if sunny) and get train from there. Another option is City Thameslink to Herne Hill and the 37 bus from Half Moon Lane (be cautious with this approach, as we have waited over 30 min for a bus).

I work next to the City Thameslink - and I get a 63 back to the Rye and walk across from there or get a 45 and change at Camberwell

I have sometimes used the train itself - but by the time I clamber around platforms and wait for the thing to move, I find it easier to just sit on a bus and read something and be done with it

I work opposite City Thameslink and my journey varies depending on which train arrives at the platform first. I either take a brighton train to london bridge and switch platforms to catch the east dulwich train, or I take a sutton train and change at tulse hill, or I take a sevenoaks train and get off at denmark hill and catch a bus down the hill to east dulwich. You could also take the sevenoaks train to peckham rye and change to an east dulwich train from there. All these routes are pretty efficient and you can normally get a seat.

My preferred route is the sevenoaks train to denmark hill and then the bus. It generally takes about 30 mins door to door, which isn't bad at all. My least preferred route is via tulse hill, the connections often don't work too well in my experience.

    • All jokes aside there is young kids constantly getting mugged in our area, there is masked bike riders going around armed with knife’s, all I’m saying is police resources could be better used, police wont use there resources to respond to car theft but will happily knock on someone’s door for hurtful comments on the internet which should have us all thinking 🤔
    • This is the real police, sorry a serious subject but couldn't help myself
    • How exactly would “the real police” go about solving this crime? Talk me through the process. Are “the real police” uniformed? Or are only plainclothes detectives real enough? What rank of police would be real enough to investigate? Should they be armed? What would satisfy you?
    • Aria came recommended by friends and we found him very good. Unlike others, he communicates well, turns up when he says he will and gets things done to a good standard even when unexpected problems crop up. I have been left by other plumbers with half solutions before. Aria commits to a job and gets it done properly.
