Please support your local author! My name's Jim and I have lived in East Dulwich for more than 10 years. Last year I published a book about my time in the Army - Dog Stags & NAAFI Growlers www.dogstags.co.uk. It's a brutally honest (often at my own expense!) account of what day-to-day life was like as a squaddie in the 80s and 90s: the highs, the lows, the fun and the danger, focusing on three postings: Hong Kong, Belize and Northern Ireland. It's perhaps not one to buy your mother-in-law for Christmas but feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears to get it into print, and I'm not likely to write another, so please check it out.
