Norfolkvillas
I am about to finish a year of mentoring a young person who has expressed an interest in, and aptitude for, sewing. She doesn't have many interests or hobbies, and her life chances aren't particularly spectacular, so as a parting gift, I'd love to leave her with the wherewithal to nurture this interest - ie a basic sewing machine, and a simple instruction / inspiration book to go alongside.I'm not really allowed to spend money on gifts, but I thought if I could find a basic second-hand sewing machine for very little, then that wouldn't really count :-)Does anyone have one they no longer use? It would need to be basic and modern (ie not dissimilar to the one she will have used in Textiles classes at school) and in good working order. I'm ideally looking to pay around ?15, which I know isn't much but would be going to a very good home! Happy to collect! Thanks in advance!
