Keef
What I am finding particularly annoying about today, is that I am sat here at home, bored as f**k, watching the score on the internet, and I can't afford to go and sit in the pub watching the cricket! :( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/6921-the-ashes-2009/page/9/#findComment-225955 Share on other sites

Keef
Worst place is MCG in Oz. Someone was killed years ago by a flying bottle, so all booze was banned from the ground, and they only sell 3% p!ss water. Had I known this, I never would have booked a ticket! Brendan
I heard rumbles about them trying to ban booze at Lords a few years ago citing ?antisocial behaviour?, family values and all other manner of rubbish to force the idea. (no mention to the fact that you could buy it for over the odds when you got in the ground) Thank god it didn?t happen. The MCC wear fiercely against it if I recall and rightly so. Long may they oppose money grabbing sponsors and franchises and protect my right to drink something other than crap larger served warm in a plastic glass. I?ve not had a chance to go to Lords for a while though. Last time was England v Sri Lanka. Can?t remember when that was. 2006 perhaps? Fear 'n boozin
I thought he got a duck in one of the warm up games, but he's not doing badly according to the stats -http://www.ecb.co.uk/stats/averages/competition-avg.html?PcompetitionAverage=com.othermedia.ecb.stats.CompetitionAverage-L-46Which reminds me, I'm still not really sure why England have never picked Pothas, good with a bat *and* behind the stumps.I reckon we should be looking at a minimum of 350.
