to bring it back to the bbc, were they not the only people to point out to everyone that the weapons of mass destruction did not exist...poodle to the government no. the fall out may have cost dyke but it was the only media organisation of such international force to say anything.

yes, yes, we are fed lies, you just need to read any john le carre novel to realise that or watch spooks (oops sorry bbc...again) to see how we are manipulated everyday.

but the most frustrating point is how by shouting like this on forums you alienate people from thinking that they can change things from grass roots up. chose not to shop in certain places, it's more powerful than any conspiracy theory. little everyday leads to powerful change, yet by ranting and alienating people they feel powerless and then do not act, therefore adding to the problem rather than opening eyes.

ho hum...

Bob, lol, Aids from local council,

Sherwick Nothing wrong with wanting a waitrose, but I think free shopping covers a multitude of problems and I felt annoyed and compared one issue, without thinking of the choice we have about what shops open up.

Keef And where do the NHS get there money from, One example,my mums 87yr old friend who's son had been bathing her for 2years as she was unable to get in and out the bath after being told she was not entitled to equipment as she had her son there. He dutifully carried on and didnt mind but she was humiliated, it took a 7month fight to get her what she needed, I dont know you or your life but if you have lived without encountering the problems people face trying to get what they need then lets just say we've led extremely diffrent lives. I would probably "have a go at hard working nurses", you are probably refering to a thread I put up before, what you seem to be forgetting is I was sitting with a friend who is a nuse.

Honestly PROSouthwark, I can't work out if you're having a laugh or not. If you are, then fair play, it's a good character, and you got a few of us.

However, I suspect you're not, in whcih case, you're really quite annoying, as you seem to refuse to answer any questions, and just keep saying exactly the same thing over and over again, like a brainwashed zombie or something.

Frankly, you strike me as the sort of person who would join a religious cult, then join in with a mass suicide. That'd show 'em!

yes, but what i'm trying to say mr pro is that you are alienating a lot of people instead of attracting them. you also totally ignored my point about the bbc which was what i understood this thread to be about.

by all means if 'chose with your wallet' is a call to the revolution then so be it, i just think that 'revolution' (looking at british history) is not a very british thing. more like slow appropriation. don't forget we actually enjoying queuing where as our revolutionary neighbours in france abhor it ;)

The enlightened masses seem car more con erned with Britains got talent than grassroots revolution. And I don't think they're being kept down by the man, I just don't think it appeals. Fridge, big screen tv, a roof over their heads and decent employment law protecting us all from exploitaton.

Not such a bad old world compared to any time in the past ever. Plus revolutions have a habit of having pretty nasty consequences, not just from the slim elite tier that's removed but for everyone. Witness the various terrors in France through Russia to Iran and Cambodia. Not a great precedence.

Of course you're different and benign. Especially with the apparent omnipotent grasp of the truth you have; I'm almost looking forward to your enlightened and above all reasoned Nd reasonable leadership.

Roll on ?No Pasar?n!

Keef And where do the NHS get there money from,

Not the council. x amount of money is given to the primary health service, then that money is paid to the trust based on patient referrals (put very simply).

One example,my mums 87yr old friend who's son had been bathing her for 2years as she was unable to get in and out the bath after being told she was not entitled to equipment as she had her son there. The OT's will probably have taken the view that she could be strip washed, and so didn't require a very expensive bath lift or something like that. May sound unfair, especially if you're involved, but hard decisions have to be made because there is only a limited amount of money out there.

I dont know you or your life but if you have lived without encountering the problems people face trying to get what they need then lets just say we've led extremely diffrent lives. No you don't know me. I work with blind people, and have worked within OT teams, so have a pretty good idea of people trying to get what they feel they need / deserve. A lot of the time I agreed with them, but what can you do, budgets are budgets, and we can only do what the criteria lets us, like it or not.

I wasn't referring to any other thread actually, my memory isn't that great right now, too many sleepless nights in the last 9 weeks.

Ha ha! Yeah far out maaaan!.

Either you're Rik from The Young Ones or a trustafarian slumming it. Which one is it?

"Plimsoul,"bbc the only people in the media to point out there was no weapons of mass destruction", what does that say about the media when millions of people did not believe it."

2 things: back at you what does it say when millions chose to believe the government instead? does that mean that they are trust worthy?

secondly, it means my point, why bash the one institution that actually isn't owned by a proprietor? there is even (if we want to discuss conspiracies) the 'media conspiracy' against the bbc.

but put plainly i think mockney peers is right, it's not even a class thing it's human nature which tends to dictate 'i'm alright jack so i'm not doing s**t to change that.'

Isnt that a bit of a contradiction Plimsoul, in one line your saying "2 things: back at you what does it say when millions chose to believe the government instead? does that mean that they are trust worthy?" then "it's human nature which tends to dictate 'i'm alright jack so i'm not doing s**t to change that." so if thats your reckoning couldn't the people who didnt protest been thinking, well we're alright.

Oh dear. I can;t believe the rest of you are falling for this blatant performance-art style wind up!

Antijen - Your arguments would be far more persuasive if you would write in grammatical English - it is impossible to understand what you are attempting to say in the above paragraph. Even John Prescott could do better.

MM, antijen was referring to the people in Maurice's clip, who gave a nearly new walking frame to someone who apparently needed it. It does make sense it context, it's still not convincing to me though. I actually respect what whose people were trying to do, I just dear that in siding with PROsouthwark, antijen has gotten a bit carried away.

    • I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to kindly ask for your assistance regarding a car break-in that occurred today, around 2 PM, on Carson Road. A couple of bags (both khaki in color), a luggage, and a passport were stolen. The bags, in particular, hold significant sentimental value to me, and I would greatly appreciate any help in locating them. I am due to take a long-haul flight in two days, and any information regarding the whereabouts of these items would be incredibly helpful. If anyone has seen or come across these belongings, please feel free to reach out. Thank you in advance for your attention and support. Warm regards, Tanya
