Council Tip/Dump

Does anyone know where the nearest council tip is to ED?

I've looked on the Southwark web site but can only find details for recycling centres or streetside collection. Problem is I've got all sorts of bags of rubble and assorted junk from clearing a garage and my experience of streetside collection is they will only take itemised bulky items. Also, if you fill wheelie bins with obvious non domestic waste they tend to leave them.

There's a handy one at Carnac Street in West Norwood bordering with West Dulwich, just check what they still take though.

The manor road tip is now closed.

Closest now is on Old Kent Road opposite Toys'R'Us. Good facility - most impressed. (reading that back I feel so middle-aged!)

Southwark Recycling is on Devon Street...

According to Southwark WebSite.. Southwark Residents can use The Lambeth Site in Vale Street..

Proof of residency may be required.

Vale street doesn't take rubble. Devon street takes everything.
