Nanny recruitment

Since moving to ED I've been approached twice, once in the street and once in a caff where I was asked if I was interested in working as a Nanny. So what is this weird local fixation with recruiting Nannies? I don't work as a Nanny, never have, never wanted to. Why are random strangers approaching me and trying to recruit me?

LGWD, I have lived and worked in ED since 1986 - with a few breaks - and this has never happened to me. In fact, I don't believe I've ever met a nanny in ED. Perhaps your motherly appearance? :)
