People who use Farenheit instead of Centrigrade (or Celsius to be precise). Educatated in the metric system 40 years ago. Happily give up miles as well, but this thread is specific to summer.

Ha.

Any other city commuters notice the juggler on London Bridge this morning? He started shouting at the passers-by at one point... "What you lookin' at? It's called f***in' trying! I've been up since 6am too you know!"

They call me Mr Fahrenheit....

Glad I'm not the only one looking forward to Autumn!

Awful feet & sandals unsurprisingly gets a unanimous no-no.

I don't believe people look happier in the sunshine, more like hot & bothered & pretty tetchy with it. On that note, I'm going to add insect bites & stinky sun block whilst I'm here.

Things I hate about summer :

Smelly people.

Ladies wearing in appropriate clothes, (i.e. grossly overweight in very small clothes, bending over pram Aaaargh... size 32 shorts and boob tube, blubber hanging over where clothes finish).

Biting midges.

Children in the shops running about when usually (at that time of day), they would be in nursery or school and can be avoided.

Children screaming.

Just children everywhere !!!

I chose the 2 seater sports car, go where I want, when I want option over the joys of motherhood !!

3/10 too obvious.

Sorry for being toooo obvious !!

What about

trying to clean the windows and when you have finished and the sun shines, they LOOK WORSE THAN WHEN YOU STARTED.

Getting home with part defrosted shopping, then when you try to separate the food to cook it, it has welded itself together.

My husband, every five minutes : it's too hot, it's too hot ...

With today's weather, Alan? I am. Rainiest July on record, maybe I will suffer in August with all that hot sun! I'm going to Ireland then so I hope it bloody well rains there ;)

PS Jeremy, you do realise I was not being entirely serious about borage, don't you?

I grew a load of borage because it has pretty blue flowers.

So then for the first time in my life I bought a bottle of Pimms, as what else can you do with borage?

What happened? The f-ing weather changed and it tipped down with rain and then became freezing cold GRRRR :))

The Pimms is still unopened (oh and then my sister informed me that she had a bottle I could have had GRRRR :)) )

I thought I was going to struggle to find anything to agree with on this thread as though there are things that bug me about summer (the odd night when it's too hot to sleep), the longer hours of daylight trump anything the other seasons have to offer.

But this... oh yes. My boyfriend does it. He even admitted he likes doing it to be annoying once. And it is... grrr.

I am off work this summer and it's definitely improved by not having to commute on hot days, although on the sweatiest of days I could almost go in for the air-conditioning.
