Why do you feel you need to know. It could possibly be because someone on the road is mentally ill and needs to be in hospital. Why do people feel they need to be informed on everything lately. What good does knowing do other than give a smug feeling of satisfication/gratification.

I think in most cases people are justified to enquire why a Police car and Ambulance are outside their home. Yes maybe someone is mentally ill, maybe it was domestic violence, I don't know. Whatever it is people are more likely to be asking out of concern for themselves and neighbours than to take pleasure from someone else's misfortune. I might be wrong but I'd hate to think people are that perversly minded.

Whoever it was attended by the Ambulance, let's hope they make a full and swift recovery.

to be honest with you i don't watch tv because i feel theres more negative than positive on there... everytime you watch the news someones been killed in some way shape or form....

i like this site because it keeps me updated about whats going on around me.... i like to know what goes on in my local area, wether it be fairs, fetes, jumble sales, road accidents or burglaries (amongst many other things)....

i think this site is great for this area & keeps us all updated... if we're interested!

You don't watch tv because of all the negativity but you like to be kept up to date on the road accidents and burglaries..?

Ah yes, I can see the request for info could be interpreted like that. I confess to being a hopeless curtain twitcher, but it's because I feel very strongly about the people who live around me. They are my immediate community, I know many of them - but not all - and I like to think that if anyone was having any difficulties and needed help, that I could & would offer it. That's why.

It's O.K everyone.

Calm down.

All that happened is that Tony and Sherwick met up to take their discussion about race, colour and "that 75% claim" to an explosive showdown. I was fortunate enough to be present. It all started off as a rather civilized affair but then Sherwick started bombarding Tony with direct inquiries over the "75%" figure, rather like when Jeremy Paxman interviewed Michael Howard and subjected him to that famous onslaught. Tony started to show signs of cracking and eventually grabbed the cheese knife and repeatedly stabbed Sherwick in the face. You have to hand it to Sherwick though, all throughout the attack he kept asking Tony about that "75%" claim and even up until the ambulance arrived. When the Police arrived Tony attempted some sort of dodgy masonic handshake but the arresting officer was black so had none of it and Tasered him in the nuts.

All rather run of the mill when you think about it.

    • I've used Mattress Man twice, can thoroughly recommend. It is worth investing in a good mattress (£400 plus), since you spend a lot of time in bed and they will last for years.  I favour a firm well-sprung mattress which I find gives good support.  Don't forget to turn your mattress regularly: side to side every couple of months, and top to bottom at least once a year.  This will ensure even wear.
    • Thanks Sue, its definitely the whole mattress needed!   Thanks for this!
    • Lynne, I do sympathise having gone to Kings A&E on 6th December. I sat on a chair for 7 hours followed by lying on a trolley for 11 hours before having emergency abdominal operation. I was in for 4 nights. Complaining would not have changed things as the staff were evidently working flat out and the place was mobbed. Ever since,  I thank my lucky stars that it happened when it did because within 2 weeks the whole of Kings was swamped by the impact of Covid, Flu' , RSV, Norovirus, etc etc I do hope you are recovering well
