Wanted - After school or live in nanny 5dw

Recommended Posts

Hello

We are looking for a wonderful nanny for our 2 wonderful boys (3 and 4 y/o) from the end of August, when our current nanny leaves us to become a teacher.

We are looking for a fun, loving, experienced nanny for after school care (private school term dates). The position starts from end of August, and is from 3pm - 6.30pm Monday to Friday and possibly during the school holidays. We would also require the occasional evening for babysitting. The candidate must be a non-smoker, lead a health lifestyle, be fluent in English and most of all, love children. Duties would include collecting the boys from school, providing them with healthy snacks and meals, arranging play dates with friends, and helping them with their homework (nominal at the moment), and generally having fun and adventures. Other usual nursery duties also required. We are also open to discussions about a live in nanny.

    • Many are enduring the cost of living crisis. Whilst I feel for single people living alone, the point is many families also feel squeezed financially so you saying it's fairer for larger households to pay more for water consumption is a bit mean spirited. There are many many situations people find themselves in and one could also argue that single people living alone in 3 bedroom houses are disadvantaging families by taking up more space than needed. The discussion could go right down a rabbit hole. The basic point is water should be free. It was until privatisation and now it feels like yet another tax on working families.  I'm using the term hardworking families because we've been hard hit by many increasing bills. That isn't to take away from single people or those without kids. Obviously everything (well most things) are choices. Everyone is entitled to free speech last time I checked. Why does the term hardworking families bother you so much?! Jeez...
    • I've not had any success over the last three years.  Repositioning it this year.  I heard of some twitchers homing in on a nest as they could hear a swift, only to find out that it was a recording which attempts to lure swifts in.  We only have a small number above Horniman Gardens.  I've seen them close to ground in Sydenham and Clapham  I think half the issue is disruption in and from their wintering grounds where there are less favourable conditions than in years gone past.
