Sole Charge Nanny Wanted

Recommended Posts

We live in East Dulwich and have 3 children. We have two girls (age 3 and nearly 5) and an 8 year old boy (the latter two are at school). We are looking for nanny who can be firm (but loving) with our children and require a nanny to work 50 hours a week with some overtime.

We ideally want somebody to start in September.

You must:

(1) have English as a first language

(2) experienced (preferably 10 years plus) with appropriate qualifications

(3) flexible (our jobs mean overtime will be required at short notice)

(4) OFSTED registered (or at least CRB checked/capable of obtaining a registration).

(5) a good driver with a clean licence

(6) reliable and committed.

(7) non-smoker

(8) be willing to accompany the family abroad on holiday once a year

(9) basic word and excel an advantage

You will also need lots of energy as we have a busy household with 3 children.

    • How can a supermarket "run out of gas"? Was that a joke? The Metro article is referring to the central gas supply, surely? Which hasn't actually run out yet.   I said "local" press. And the reason would be that the bad publicity might push Sainsbury's head office to improve what sound like presently appalling conditions for their DKH staff to work in. Yes of course there are terrible things happening all over the world. That doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to change things which we might be able to have an immediate impact on locally.
    • What good would it do reporting it to the press? If one thinks it is a major issue, just for a moment, think about the hardship in cities in Ukraine where residents  are lucky to get one hour of electricity a day and where water is not being pumped to residential blocks.
