This is a bit random but has anyone else seen an old man walking a very large dog (possibly an english sheepdog) very slowly around Goose Green? He looks really frail (the man, not the dog) and just wondered whether he needed any help walking the dog. A dog that size must need a lot of walking and looking after. Anyone know who this man is?

Thanks!

They are very well known in the area and have lot`s of people looking out for both of them, He loves the dog to pieces and although they are both a bit slow getting around, the dog is a little faster than him! He is very stubborn but taking the dog out keeps him going even though the dog does get home before him at times.

    • I live opposite the Grove and it’s an eye sore and a fire hazard. Dulwich Estate should be ashamed of how they’ve let building just go to ruin.  The skate park is a great edition. The creativity behind the build is to be commended. It’s always in use and there is normally a young woman in a high viz clearly rubbish and picking up trash, so it’s well looked after. The fact that parents bring their little ones here to use the skate park shows it has a purpose in the community.  Unfortunately very late at night it’s used as a “party drinking zone” probably by people completely unrelated to the park. Last Saturday at 2am the music was blaring and you could hear the noise - incidents like this do cause an issue but it’s not the parks fault.  We’ve already had 1 homeless chap living in that space and setting fire to it and that’s my main concern, that there will be a huge fire and someone will be injured or killed. Maybe Dulwich Estate wants it burnt down and declared derelict so then they can do what they want with the land - as I understand there is a “will covenant” regarding what they can do with it.
    • Unfortunately someone stole two boxes from our front porch today on Limesford Rd, opposite Nunhead cemetery. Across two visits, spanning about 5 minutes, he took two parcels that were left on our doorstep before heading off on his bike. I saw it happen via our doorbell camera but missed him by a couple of minutes. Neither contained anything that valuable, but it was incredibly brazen.  Hoping someone recognises him - or can advise on the best way to file this with the Met?
    • Phoned Fernando Pinto last week, to call and give the grass in my garden the first cut of the year. Fernando arrived on time did a great job and left everything clean and tidy, also a great conversationalist. Many thanks Fernando, who can be contacted on 07946 757938
