As supporters of the democratic system we support your right to stick your fingers up at us.

It is a free country and we would fight to the death in support of those rights.

Your message is quite clear..thankyou.

Just to clarify our message.

We are middle class warriors and are spreading a healing vibe through the medium of our Middle Class Sound System.

Twitter ye not?

Declan - if you have not heard the healing vibes on a Saturday afternoon then you must be deaf!

Reggie - I am also a middle class warrior, surfing on the wave of a free market economy, smoking the odd fat one and spreading healing vibes through my vegetable patch on Fellbrigg Road.

Can I join you?

Actually, it's nice that someone's still 'down with' the traditional sailors/boilermans farewell as opposed to the seemingly ubiqutous 'flipping the bird'.

In fact it's not even flipping the bird properly in most cases, it's just a lazy raising of the middle finger without a carefully placed thumb on the first knuckle of the middle finger and a curling of the forefinger nail on the thumb knuckle.

If one is going to give manual insult, then please give some thought to the form.

And while we're at it, whither the 'w@nker' sign? I recall a contemperary of mine employing it with the instruction 'drink it'.

I doubt we'll see his like again.
