jaybee82
My good friend Lauren is featured in this show and I was in to watch it for the first time last night. It basically thrusts 5 twentysomethings into the far east and follows their attempts to survive on the absolute pittance people earn farming rice/processing food/keeping livestock. I found the whole thing a massive eye opener and was absolutely appalled at the conditions these people work/live in and the lengths they have to go to to provide for their families. Has put me off my monthly curry on the Lane for a while!! Did anyone else catch it?All the episodes are on BBC iPlayer on the interweb...highly recommended viewing!
