urgently needed a dog training cage for my puppy

hi there I've recently been given a puppy and everything's going well except for the fact he likes to chew things at night time while everybody is asleep. he's got toys and even his own old slipper but it doesn't seem to stop him from chewing the things he's not supposed to chew.

somebody suggested that I put him in a dog cage at nighttimes only. so I wondered does anybody have a dog cage that they no longer need or want.
