Ginster
Off on holiday soon with a 3 month old and 2 year old. Not sure whether to get a lightweight cheapish double buggy or 2 singles to use when going abroad? Anyone got any advice on what has worked best for them? I'm erring toward the double so only one parent needs push? I figure the 2 year old will still need option of sitting/sleeping in buggy for a couple of years yet? Thanks in advance! BellendenBear
The problem with a cheap double is that it might be difficult to push due to the weight imbalance if the 2 kids. We have a twin triumph but we use it for twins just for holidays. It's really annoying to push but at least they are roughly the same weight. Others may have a different experience of this. The good thing is it is really light (I can carry with one hand when folded) and it folds quite small. You're welcome to try it out before you buy one. etta166
I've hated pretty much every double buggy I tried, including maclaren and Phil & teds ones. In the end, we mostly used a single and a sling. I preferred carrying the younger one and putting the older one in the buggy to sleep when needed, or back carrying the older one if the little one was already asleep in the buggy. Fra81
we took the single buggy with the buggy board, as the double buggy wouldn't have fitted in the back of the car with the rest of the baggage! Good luck Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/62830-advice-buggy-for-holiday-double-or-2-singles/#findComment-861450 Share on other sites
mammamia
We had a double obaby which I actually thought was pretty good for the price, folded up well, seats go almost flat and not too pricey. I think we used it till they were about 2 and 3 1/2 comboWe found double to be best for same kind of ages, managed to get both to sleep in it at same time on occasion & one buggy means that other parent can potentially be free for a bit!
