It was a long time ago when I wasn't charged. That aside I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else (I now have a monthly payment plan with LLV so routine treatments are covered).

Incidentally I rang Paxton vets for an appointment to have my cat micro-chipped, neutered and generally MOTd and am still waiting for that appointment 14 years later. LLV gave me an appt straightaway and I've never looked back. They would even board my cat when she became too infirm to take to a cattery..... I hope your dog is well now.

I think we've established that vets and their reception/other staff (and indeed any businesses, including GP surgeries) can change - for better or worse - over time, especially over 14 years.

  • 3 years later...

Hi,

I've been trying to get on the Lordship Lane Vets website to no avail (message comes up saying the site is not secure). Could anyone tell me if Julia Harper still works there please? She has come up on the British Hen Welfare Trust website as a hen friendly vet so I would like to give them a ring first thing tomorrow to arrange an appointment for my little hen if she there but no idea what time they open.

Many thanks

    • All good to hear. Cheers BNG If I’m honest, those fliers give off very bland corporate energy   also. Shouldn’t it be a relaunch party instead of a launch party?    hopefully I’m wrong and it’s great
    • The good news is that the Blythe's new leaseholder is Austin Whelan, who runs a chain of very decent Irish pubs, mainly in south London. By all accounts, he has no intention of making any major changes. It reopened last week.
    • A builder said that to me once! What I should have said (but thought of it too late) was that given that I was paying him to do a job, I expected that my glass would be full, not half full 🤣 But yes, you are right in this instance!
    • Just had a flyer through the door. Posting here for people who haven't had theirs yet. The 50% off food is for three days only, and advance bookings only. I liked the EDT as it used to be, so I really hope the changes won't be too massive. Last time I looked through the window the bar seemed to be still in the same place, but who knows. Think I'll wait a bit to try the food. When The Lordship launched, we went for a meal there and let's say things didn't go smoothly 😂 Anybody who was there will know what I mean 😂 They have redeemed themselves since, I hasten to add 😂
