If you don't think most people are "at it" in some form or other then who am I to say you don't know what you are thinking - but the evidence of everyday conversation and listening to people suggests otherwise. Just taking the parking fine/speeding regulars - instead of paying up for behavingillegaly they think it is their right to not pay.

As for "too cool for disgust" - well feeling disgust is one thing, giving continual vent to it and anger are another. It's not about being cool - it's about keeping a clear head

Again fair point bob. I've no issue with expenses, I lived in Amsterdam for a year in a second home paid for by company with meals claimable. I didn't grub every penny and I reckon the whole experience cost me in order of three grand (I never got round to claiming my daily allowance for instance).

As I said earlier I think the majority have simply used the system. Some like Kate Hoey and Ed Milliband can even hold their heads up high. Some should be voted out. I hope their constituents do the right thing and vote them out, or better still the parties not put them up for reelection.

Media creation or no the anger is real and they'd be wise to take note.

To be a decent Sports Minister its absolutely essential to set ones stall out, as frequently as humanly possible.

They may be fine, upstanding, competent Guys but I would rid any Cabinet of any West Ham Fans (MP/Quidsy et al) as I still carry a grudge for them wrecking Harry Crippsy's Testimonial Night 25/30 years ago by beating The Lions and causing general mayhem all around New Cross that evening....:X

Actually it was 1971 so 38 years should qualify for a decent grudge..:))

In researching which year I see there is an excerpt from the famous 1977 Panorama Documentary on Millwall, on You Tube, entitled "Millwall, F-Troop"...and I see one of my Local MP's is in the clip as a young 19-year-old in the Pub Scene!

Fascinating as I know some of the "clientele" in that Pub scene...its on for 2/3 minutes and perfectly encapsulates the intimidating atmosphere of Millwall in The 1970's...(6)
