A taste of summer! We'll be making Elderflower Cordial from scratch, at MUDDY BOOTS Children's Nature Group tomorrow.

MUDDY BOOTS Children's Nature Group (Drop in sessions, no need to book)

10-11.30 at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve.

We'll be inspecting flowers for insects, counting elderflower heads, zesting, grating, measuring, pouring, mixing and tasting. Bring a small plastic bottle if you'd like a sample to take away. But you'll have a chance to try it at snack time anyway.

Meet at big iron gates on Devonshire Road.

Any queries, call Holly on 07919 077198

Further info:

Muddy Boots is a children's nature group which runs at Devonshire Road Nature Reserve in Forest Hill every Monday and Friday 10-11.30. Its very hands-on, friendly, relaxed, completely outdoors and aims to let children learn about nature, get grubby, get lots of fresh air and explore this lovely wild green space at their own pace. Each week we have a nature related activity nature and there's digging, watering, a walk in the woods and listening for wildlife. We end up back at our log circle basecamp with a story, snack and songs. Children any age love the peace of the reserve and are very welcome. To engage best with the day's more structured activity, I recommend 14m and over. Younger siblings are very welcome to come along for free. ?6 per child, sibling discount. Meet at the gates on Devonshire Road, opposite Tyson road. Holly

    • I have a lovely photo of my son and husband which I would love to have painted as a Christmas gift. Can anyone recommend anyone locally who might do this? Many thanks
    • Second recommendation for Fiona’s, my dog has been going there for a couple of years and loves it! Great team
    • I would recommend Fiona's Diggidy Daycare which is in Loughborough Junction but they offer pick up and drop off services when they have capacity.  My dog has been going there for 3 years and loves it.
    • Ask him politely if you can help him.  I remember staring at my old flat.  Can I help you a neighbour asked.  Yes I said, I had seen that they have split it into two flats. And we had a chat about it.   Edited to add - if they are doing this in plain site then it sounds harmless, but it would be good manners to knock on your door.  In our area there is someone well known on X that walks up and down taking pictures of anything out of the ordinary, often quite trivial, supposedly for laughs.  I could speculate who the owner could be, a creative or a gangster, but that would not be appropriate!
