I think there should be a statue of Emily Pankhurst in Trafalgur Square. Women should be represented properly in society. We are not all chocolate, shoes, and bags,. Lots of us still want equal footing with men, and wages. We all dont want to be silly cows who just want to be used by men and get drunk like them. drinking beer. Pathetic.Skinhead children no doubt. "Shall I get my nails done" "Shall I get a nose piercing" or shall I have another tatoo". Or shall I feed my kids;descisions oh dear. where did it all go wrong.?

Morag, do you consider yourself to be a real woman? I don't know if i'm a real woman or not but i think i'm alright.

Thats not so much an answer as a question, all i can ascertain from this is that real women ask questions when asked a question.

"What do I think is a real man ?"

In my professional opinion, I'd have to say Chuck Norris.

*tut's quietly*

'Real' women disapeared from public view when Margaret Thatcher was ousted in 90, after that (1991) they became 'All Woman' for this we can thank Lisa Stansfield, who coincidentally had to change the lyrics of All Woman to remove reference to Maggie T.

It is indeed a strange world in which we live.

Oh woofy me old mucka and I thought you were dead!

First place to look is the Wisden of real women, FHM. Caprice and Holly Valance should slug it out for the title of woman of the millennium, preferably in a vat of butter.

Barring that a statue of Felicity Kendall on the plinth?

I've heard much tell of Ms Stansfield that would turn your postmans hair grey overnight! What ever happened to?

I can?t say I can comment precisely on what makes a ?real? woman but I think it has something to do with biology.

But an admirable woman to whom many others would do well to aspire to I would say is one who doesn?t define herself by how she appears to men. Or women for that matter.

    • It may be worth consulting your vet. If she's diabetic & on medication, she will have missed 1-2 doses. It's a relief to hear that she's home, & I hope she makes a speedy recovery.
    • The swimming lessons at JAGS Sportsclub are very popular, and the gym there might meet your needs. Southwark took over running its leisure centres from everyone active a while back and so far seems to be making a real mess of things. There’s lots of private gyms and other council ones in Lewisham and Lambeth so depending on exactly where you’re going to be you can look at those. JAGS and Dulwich College both have sports clubs with nice facilities, but you can’t use them during the school day. Check their sites for details.
    • https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/jun/26/cardiff-blackweir-festival-bute-park-dispute?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other Another example of a badly sited festival, and a council bending over for the cash. What amazes me is the similarity in every way to Gala - large areas annexed but the council trying to convince everyone it's only a tiny part of the park. Claiming that the flora & fauna is being protected when the reality is a tick-box environmental survey that's not worth the paper it's written on. All very depressing.
