Looking for a live in aupair for end July

Recommended Posts

Hi, my lovely aupair is off to look for a proper(!) job so I am now looking for someone fun, calm and flexible to take care of my two cheeky boys, Max (8) and Ben (6). Duties would include getting the children up (7am), washed, dressed and fed then taking them to school (10 mins walk) during term time. During the summer holidays you would have sole charge of them from when they get up till I get home from work about 3pm. During term time you would be free from about 09.15 when you could attend a language course if you wanted to but would need to be on hand if they were sick and were unable to attend school.

Other duties would include ironing (approx 1 hr per week), keeping the children?s bedroom clean, tidy and changing their bedsheets and general help around the house (we have a cleaner). I would also require 2 week nights babysitting per week and one weekend every couple of weeks (I am a single mum so the boys stay with their dad every other weekend).

I have a lovely home near Dulwich hospital, the school is a 10 min stroll away and the train station is 7 mins walk (zone 2). You do not need to drive but need to have good English and a patient manner but be able to be firm with the boys. Non smoker preferred. You will have your own loft room complete with double bed, sofa, coffee table, wifi and tv and your own shower room (unless we have guests staying which is very rare!).

You will also receive 4 weeks paid holiday a year which I would like you to take when we take ours where possible.

If you are interested in this position and would like to know more including salary then please PM me or call on 07989 585004. References will be required, experience in looking after children is preferred and ideally you will already be based in London or nearby and be available to interview.

Start date is slightly flexible but looking at end July.

Many thanks

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
