I suspect the parking would be terrible. I park at a family's off street parking space.

I do recommend the half car/train, half walk approach to work. It's the only exercise I do but better than nothing which I did before. A friend of mine was killed cycling into work, so personally that's not an option for me.

Had a drink last night, so i didn't drive home. When that happens, I get the train to London bridge and walk along southbank thames to work, crossing the river at st paul's. It's a really lovely walk.

I get a car into work (which starts at 0500) which is very welcome.

Going home, if you are able to get to Victoria easily I would use the frequent services Denmark Hill or Peckham Rye (about 9 - 12 minutes) and then continue by bus. It's a bit of a faff to go Tube>>Rail>>Bus and it is more expensive than taking the bus alone, but it's quicker and more reliable, in my experience.

    • My annoyance Is with the fact that the gym is being closed for 5 weeks for refurbishment but we dont have an option to freeze our membership if the only facility we use is the gym. Apparently Peckham gym is closed at the same time for refurbishment which I think is pretty stupid. Therefore the nearest gym for all the members from ED leisure centre and Peckham leisurecentre is the one in Camberwell . I lament the everyone active days..at least I could attend gyms near to work and outside Southwark
