Earl Aelfheah
Ruislip Lido has a beach. http://www.completelylondon.co.uk/the-sunny-beaches-of-london/I agree it would be nice to have sand at Peckham / dulwich. If you're looking for a good sand pit though, the one opposite the Horniman isn't half bad. solar
Most responsible dog owners do clear up after their dogs. It's the irresponsible minority who give everyone else a bad name. royalbaby08
I wonder if the sand you guys are talking about could be the same sand they use for the playgroup just had me thinking Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/61387-sand-in-peckham-rye-park/page/2/#findComment-858791 Share on other sites
Lolamaxx
I hate to say it, you see the visible dog poos, but I can guarantee you cats and foxes are weeing in it every single day. Open sand pits for kids should really have a cover on them so they don't get wet / attract wildlife, otherwise it's a bit of an open litter-box! That said, can't believe some dog owners are just allowing that to happen... jctg
Can I ask a silly question here? What is the actual reason for putting sand on the grass? How does it help? first mate
I believe it improves drainage, allowing surface water to dissipate, so it helps for sports etc..
