Hi

We are now running a half hourly service between London Bridge and East Croydon, departing at XX15 and XX45 and returning at XX20 and XX50. This service will stop at all stations.

We are currently clearing the route between London Victoria and East Croydon, and hope to introduce a half hourly shuttle service between these stations from 1000hrs. This will be a limited service with limited capacity.

The Brighton Mainline remains suspended, however we are working to clear this route to enable a service to run later today.

Good evening, I am afraid the update is more or less the same as earlier. There will be shuttle services tomorrow but not between Tulse Hill and South Bermondsey, this includes Peckham, North and East Dulwich, etc

I know this is not good news however we are doing everything possible to recover our services, track access etc

If anything changes I will update as soon as I have the information, please refer to our website for further updates

That's me done for the day!

Hi Goldilocks,

I have been flashing my season ticket to bus drivers all week and no one has said anything so I would say yes, if you have the annual ticket then your ticket covers route changes and disruptions anyway I think. Don't know about tubes though as you have to put it through the machine to get through the barrier...

I know its not Barrys Fault. But this is the second time this year we have been left with no trains. Will it be like last time when South Eastern Said "There were trains at Herne Hill so we wont give you any compensation " Only I think this time I will go to the regulator.

Nationl Rail site just showed delays when LBC had been told no trains into London from Sevenoaks or Dartform. Which decoded means no trains from Nunhead AT ALL.

The TFL Site wouldnt show bus details - I suspect it was underpowered. Clearly we are going to get more snow and the infrastucture needs to be improved to deal with it.

Sorry for delay responding

A couple of points

Buses/Tubes accepting Southern/Southeastern Tickets

The point regarding no trains East Dulwich, Peckham etc, I will deal with this after the weekend, sorry but can only deal with what we have out there. There will be meetings with department heads to discuss this week and the severe disrupton and will be addressing this issue

Lastly, we are planning to shut down the route from 1930hrs tonight, it has been a very difficult day to say the least. No service from London Bridge and Victoria after then.

Not a good week to say the least, I can only apologise for the inconvenience to your travel this week or lack of it should I say. I know there are numerous reports in the media, however you know I have always been open and honest with you. When I say that staff at Southern have worked non stop this week to get something running has been amazing. Staff have been very dedicated this week on the frontline getting in, walking miles, clearing snow. I also want to mention that staff behind the scenes at HQ/Control Centre have not stopped, trust me when I say it is not an easy task coordinating sever disruption of this magnitude. Lots of lessons to learn for sure, and we do have to rely on Network Rail to keep the routes open

I will do what I can to update for the remainder of the day

Regards

Barry

Hi

Unfortunately I can not confirm that at this stage, however based on today and what will happen tonight I dont think there will be any services tomorrow for East Dulwich, Peckham, North Dulwich etc

Hi,

On Saturday trains were running during the day from LB to ED, but when I got to London Bridge at 11pm they weren't running anymore. I was just wondering if that's likely to be the case again today, and if so if anyone knows what time the last train will be?

Thanks very much.

    • Indeed ianr, I didn't have time to include all Royal Mail options, thanks for that extra bit, they have been spot on for me, I use them a lot and have never had any issues with delivery, touch wood!
    • People are switching to electric cars irrespective of fuel prices.  100s of millions that could be spent on hospitals and schools for example have been lost due to fuel duty freezes and a supposedly temporary reduction.  Fuel is relatively cheap at the moment.  With a stonking majority when is it time to rightly take on motorists? Farming, I simply referred to Paul Johnson of the IFS who knows more about the economy that you, I and Truss will ever know. Food?  Au contraire.  It's too cheap, too poor quality and our farmers are squeezed by the supermarkets and unnatural desire to keep it cheap.  A lot less takeaways and more home cooking with decent often home produced, food should benefit most in our society. Be honest you do t like Labour.
    • In fact there was a promotional leaflet came through the letter box today, for sending by RM's parcel post by buying online.  There are also options mentioned for having the labels printed  at a Collect+ store or at a Parcel Locker.  More info at https://www.royalmail.com/.
    • Is it? Let's see  Farming is a tough gig with increasingly lower returns, if farms have to sell off land to pay inheritance tax it will reduce their ability to survive. Which in real terms could mean more farm land lost and more reliance on imported food which sees money flowing out, not in to the country.  But I guess as long as you get cheap food that doesn't concern you 😉  Lol "what about the cars"  again Mal... like a broken record....  Governments know that squeezing car drivers for more fuel duty will drive down income from taxes as people switch to electric, which would leave them with a black hole in income. Guess the fuel duty is a fine balancing act tiĺl enough electric cars have been sold to raise tax revenue from their use.
