Bluerevolution
Don't take me wrong, not complaining at posters, this is about the 20th thread I've seen in the last 18 months re VM saying it's down, slow etc-this area is NOT set up for for VM despite the mass promotion in the area.We sacked them off about 3 years ago due to poor service and they obviously haven't got any better. Penguin68
My guess would be that the power outage tripped an 'off' switch locally, presumably as a safety mechanism, which needs re-setting - presumably, again, manually - so until Virgin gets someone out here to do that power will remain down for their service. mynamehere
Have you rebooted, restarted? Unplugged and replugged the device? Mine works fine but right after the power cut everything had to restart. Call them and upgrade to faster if you haven't done that already Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/58960-virgin-media-friday-15th-may/#findComment-848315 Share on other sites
simonl
Mine is also working as normal after a quick restart after the 5 minutes power outage. Even if you call them a quick restart/reboot is the first thing they will ask. ed_pete
Same here - switched off the router for 1 minute after the power had resumed. Switched it on again and all good. uncleglen
I tried a restart twice yesterday with no joy. Then I did a shut down and then started it and it was fine. Updating I suppose. Mrs Y
Have been on the phone numerous times to virgin they have told me 'there is an area wide problem and it will not be fixed until the 20th' Have now turned everything off and will try to reboot shortly. Ladysaw
We called Virgin about their shoddy internet service. Got a tenner back and improved services with no extra charge. Might be worth giving them a call. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/58960-virgin-media-friday-15th-may/#findComment-848503 Share on other sites
Mrs Y
Had a long chat with the Virgin Media complaints department yesterday. They have knocked ?10.00 off my monthly bill for the next year. but still no services. Was thinking of moving to another provider, but we have a great big tree in front of us, still no signal.
