The quickest (about 50 minutes), easiest and most pleasant route (takes you through Hyde Park) is:

- go down Camberwell New Road

- bear right at Oval Cricket Ground (either immediately before or after the ground)

- go round the Oval and turn right (or left if you turned right after the ground) up Vauxhall Street

- go across Kennington Lane and turn left on to Black Prince Road

- turn right on to Albert Embankment and left on to Lambeth Bridge

- go straight down Horseferry Road and turn left onto Artillery Row

- cross over Victoria Street and go down Buckingham Gate

- turn right and go round front of Buckingham Palace

- use cycle path to get across Hyde Park Corner

- cycle inside Hyde Park (parallel to Park Lane) on cycle path/round round to Lancaster Gate

- turn left on to Bayswater Road and follow road all the way to Holland Park roundabout

- go across to SB green and up Wood Lane.

Hope this helps

That looks like a good route AndrewP, I'll give it a go.

I cycle to the Media Centre up Wood Lane most days and put this route up in another thread on the forum. It's anywhere between 45 and 55 minutes depending on conditions and has the same final stretch after Hyde Park Corner.

    • Luckily I am not under 75, but I think I'm vulnerable anyway because of asthma. No idea. I've never paid for a jab since I went travelling in the nineties 😂 https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/covid-19-vaccine/ It could well be because you are a carer and if you got Covid you could then pass it on to the vulnerable person/people you care for? That would make sense?
    • Read The Da Vinci Code (probably an exaggeration but entertaining nevertheless).  Someone I knew who followed Opus Dei assured me he didn't wear a Cilice 🤔

As the American president, Donald Trump, escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO TYRANTS nonviolent movement continues to grow stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: the world has no use for an American tyrant king, and the power belongs to the people. Our first No Tyrants protest on June 14th gathered nearly 1000 people outside the US Embassy in London—a show of solidarity that proved the strength of our movement. Now, on Saturday, October 18th, we’re holding our second international No Tyrants protest—because this isn’t about one day, it’s about building a movement that lasts. On October 18th, come join us as we launch the world premiere of a new project! “HUMAN WRITE #____” is a protest installation spanning two continents. We're raising our collective voices to send messages directly to the White House. Forget AI, social media and the world of algorithms and influencers. HUMAN WRITE #____ is about real people getting their message across one letter at a time. How does it work? - Participants will be offered a blank card and a seat at one of the many typewriters displayed. - Write your personal protest message to Donald Trump — exercising your right to free speech. - Sign your card "Human Write" instead of your name (to protect your privacy). - Your card will be numbered and photographed for a digital archive, and then sent to Washington DC, where a group will hand-deliver thousands of messages from around the world. Multiple international locations will be participating on 18 Oct and beyond, creating a flood of messages from around the world to Washington DC. Everyone is welcome. If you can, bring a friend! On October 18, rise up, take to the streets, and say it loud: no thrones and no crowns for a wannabe tyrant king! Join us for the launch of this special project and hear inspiring speakers at NO TYRANTS 2. A core principle behind all of our events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind, including those legally permitted, should not be brought to events."
