seanmlow
hijust finished working with a copy, and still waiting for my P45.Was expecting a final slip with money owed for car security deposit etc, etc, and had payslip saying 'Payable by BACS - 237.28'. I called the bank and nothing has come out or in, and it doesn't say it is a demand for payment. What the hell is it?!Any help appreciated. bigbadwolf
Your message original post wasn't very clear. I think you should speak to the company/copy who owe you this money. charliecharlie
Do you mean what does BACS stand for?If so, it is a bank to bank transfer (Bankers' Automated Clearing Service) the money usually takes 3 working days to arrive into the account. Mick Mac
does the "-237.28" represent a negative amount - is this what your questions relates to? If so I doubt they can take money from your account by BACS. If this is not your question I think you need to explain further. Huguenot
Hi sean, I know we've taken the mickey sometimes, but I'm sorry to hear you're leaving your company - did you get made redundant? KalamityKel
If they "accidentally" over paid you at some point or you owe them money (for an advance of any sort) they can take the money back although that should be clearly indicated on your payslip.Just call the HR/finance department and get them to explain. It could be a miscalculation Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/5846-advice-needed-payslip/#findComment-188000 Share on other sites
