Maledict is a good looking 7 year old all black Maine Coon cat. He has yellow eyes and is semi-long haired and due to a car accident has a damaged rear leg which makes him walk at quite a jaunty angle! He was last seen near the temporary stage in Dulwich Park at about 17:00 on Saturday 9th May. He answers to the names "Maledict", "Mally" or "Boo boo". He is quite shy and we are hoping that he is holed up in the undergrowth somewhere in the park or possibly someone's back garden. He is microchipped and very well known at both Lordship Lane Vets and The Neighbourhood Vet.

If you are out and about and see him then I would be very grateful if you could post and let us know.

Many, many thanks.

Mr and Mrs Terrapin

No sign as yet. Some leaflets and posters have been put up in and around Dulwich Park. One of the Park Rangers thinks a similar large cat was seen in the car park near the Park Offices close to the chapel gate.

A copy of the poster/leaflet is attached - if you could check your gardens and sheds we would be grateful.

Maledict is now back home safe and sound after his fortnight's adventure living as a Dulwich Village Blow-In!

Huge thanks to everyone who kept an eye out for him - it is much appreciated!

Best wishes from Mr and Mrs Terrapin (very relieved) and Maledict (wondering what the fuss was all about)!

    • As posted elsewhere Jojm is a superb plasterer, highly experienced and very good. And will either just get on with the job or, if you wish, have a good chat with you - he's a Dubliner so very friendly! I have either used him directly (once, for a biggish job, a couple of rooms, insulated plaster boards and finishing) and twice for neighbouring landlord where I arranged and saw his work completed expertly and efficiently. Recommended. He loves dogs too. If relevant...

    • How about we go straight to the source then if you think it's questionable: Here's Unite Group's annual report: https://www.unitegroup.com/annual-report-and-accounts-2024 Download the PDF and you'll find the 97.5% occupancy rate. You know a lot of these news sources exist because digging through annual reports is laborious and not immediately accessible to the masses. They're reporting on what Unite Group, a public company, is reporting. It's making something more digestible. They're not just making up numbers. They'd end up without much business if they were. PBSA is a big industry. Here's another take (though a year older) from Cushman and Wakefield: https://www.cushmanwakefield.com/en/united-kingdom/insights/uk-student-accommodation-report  Like CBRE, they're also reporting supply shortages. Again, to be occupied by students.
    • I know they eat food as they get a Tesco delivery every week. So they must have food scraps.
