The title of the thread is "TINY LITTLE things that cause you irrational rage," not "Enormous global issues which..." Even a crap teacher (so impressed that you've trawled back to find a throwaway self-deprecating comment, 10/10 for assiduity though not so much for having a life) could maybe teach you a little reading comprehension.

Walking along the street you notice that a couple of girls look at you and you think "hey, I may be getting old but I've still got it", then a couple of blokes look at you too, but it's 2016 blokes can think you're OK too...... and then you remember you've got a T-shirt on with a stupid slogan and people are reading it....

Oh dear, you must have been out of your job for such a long time now that youre reading and comprehension skills have gone as you certainly have not understood.

I should have got it earlier - your name, harris - obviously must refer to Harris Academies ergo your lack of basic skills. I'll explain. 1st world probs are trivial. I posted on this thread that they are. You decided to have a dig and call my comment petty etc. In order to help you understand, I put the trivial comments I originally referred to in context of major issues to try and help you see. But alas you failed again. 0/0 ex academy. Tsk.

I do love seeing very stupid people trying to be clever and funny, excellent. As Dr.Johnson had occasion to remark in a different context, "like a dog's walking on its hind legs, it is not done well, but one is surprised to see it done at all."

Rendel Harris is my real name, unlike certain cowardly, bullying, inadequate people (you) I do not require an alias behind which to hide as I don't say anything on internet forums to which I would be ashamed to admit - much of what you say on here is either so stupid, aggressive or downright offensive I'm not surprised you require a nom de plume. I have never taught at a Harris academy so, if I may put it rather less elegantly than the good doctor, your attempted highly laboured joke falls on its arse.

You're has an apostrophe in it, by the way, I'll give you that one for free.

Ironic that someone called Grok doesn't quite get it.

Posters who pitch up in the middle of a conversation, take a stand (right or wrong) then flames those who question his point of view claiming bullying tactics are being used because people disagree with him and telling them they have nothing of value to add...

Well welcome to a discussion forum where all views are valid and allowed (maybe not correct or agreed with)

Yes Pop / Fazer I am directing this directly at you 😈

I've been posting a mixture of advice, serious views and the odd facetious comment. Unlike a previous chat room I was on I've tried not to get embroilded in the politics. If I take the piss out of the middle classes then I am being (at least in part) self deprecting. I know a couple OF you have trolled me at times but I wouldn't remember the names off the top of my head. I also spot others who seem to be trolling or just plain unpleasant.

The only one I would name is Grok, due to some particularly rubbish attempt at humour on my "What to buy for a 50th birthday" thread. Pehaps he or she may take a look at themselves (as I do to when perhaps my posts are mistinterpretted).

Right, now I have the moral highground I can sleep nicely and smuggly/self satisfied tonight.

Some studies have shown that your dominant hand works faster than the other, so if you're right handed it may well be that with the O under your right hand and the R under your left the right has just got ahead of the rhythm. I do exactly the same!

    • Royal Mail's parcel delivery service is not as good as most of the couriers' in my experience. Despite my redirection instructions, twice, and their acknowledgements, twice, they've delivered my online order regardless to the address (outside our area), with a confirmatory photo showing it prominently propped up against the front door, where it would still be if I hadn't made some frantic texts to a neighbour, luckily.
    • A similar thing happened to me at Sainsbury's local near the library.   The guy misjudged it so didn't get my card but imo it's good to shout very loudly at the person to get away from you and don't let them push you away from the ATM.  Genuine people don't come right up close to you when you're using an ATM so if someone does that then yell to draw attention to them. I reported it to the police who did check CCTV as the perpetrator got into a cab. He was the driver!  Unfortunately they couldn't see his reg number on the CCTV even though they could see him.  The camera on the ATM wasn't working annoyingly.
    • Southwark have decided to no longer supply or support the use of the smaller blue boxes for recycling  https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/recycling/your-recycling-containers Fot those of you that currently use a blue box, it will be removed and a large blue bin will replace it. A lot of people use the blue boxes to avoid cluttering their gardens or the street so whilst I understand their health and safety reason, it's going to potentially lead to more clutter on bin day or more bins left on streets as there is no room in properties.
